@kittie...there's ALWAYS a honeymoon period with any new toy and I'm sure the iPhone will be no different...shoot, I remember when I got my first video iPod and how I would baby the thing and thought it was "perfect"...now? I thrash that thing and I KNOW it's far from perfect...maybe the honeymoon with the iPhone lasts longer than normal but eventually, the passion will fade...it always does.

Maybe a good thing to do would be to have the 4 of them back in 6 months or so for a follow up show...after a few firmwear updates, 6 months w/ AT&T, UI, bugs and hic-ups, etc...see how they feel about the phone after really putting it through it's paces...

I agree...there was a balance between the engadget guy (forgot his name) and Cali "Apple-fan-girl" Lewis. In between, Leo and Veronica...it was a show about FIRST IMPRESSIONS of the iPhone and nothing more...people need to come down off the ledge about the show...

You're in the geek honeymoon period and as with anything shiny and new, the lust will fade and your attention will soon be on the next shiny and new thing...it's the curse of the gadget lovers...sooner or later, there's ALWAYS something better and you always want it! :-)

Like iflyjet, I was in Safari and was playing around in a website and it froze...completely. I let it sit for about a minute (Playing it off to the floaters around the display, waiting to get at one, that I was still doing something). I wanted to see A) if it would reset itself or B) figure out the "reset" combination like for my iPod. I didn't set out to crash it but I was kind of happy that it did just to get a negative experience along with the beauty.
Of course the phone had been played with ALL DAY until I got to the store at around 4:00. The battery was low, of course. I made a couple of calls and really hit all the apps pretty hard in the 5 minutes or so I was goofing off with it...
That being said, it wasn't a little hickup and it never reset itself. I had to do a hard reset...(Home Button + the top button next to the Sim Card...I think that's the combination) It took about 30 seconds to finish the re-boot and when it did, I got the "globe+slide to open" screen. Slid it open and put it back in the dock and left...

"Gmail Super Clean"...super nice and well, super clean! "Gmail Filter Assistant" is a must...Lot's of good scripts out there for Gmail...and I like "Digg - Add Mirrors"...
